Albuquerque NM- Last year Pat Davis, a prominent New Mexico Democrat and candidate for Albuquerque City Council, was accused of stalking then Democrat Representative Sandra Jeff. Local media reported that Davis was taking photos of Representative Jeff inside and outside of her home.

"This behavior was inexcusable, especially for someone who would want to serve on the Albuquerque City Council," said Pat Garrett, spokesman for the Republican Party of New Mexico. "New Mexico's Democrats should think about who they support for office."

Deb Halaand recently touted Pat Davis in a press release. And weeks ago, Davis also received the endorsement of Senate Majority Leader Michael Sanchez alongside other Democrat Party leaders.

Stephen Nelson, a community advocate, is also exploring a run for the city council seat. His candidacy will offer a sharp contrast to that of Pat Davis.

The news story on the Pat Davis incident can be found here.
