Growing Food Connections
December 16th
Leadership for Responsible Change-Making Workshop
Under the Growing Food Connections framework, comprehensive community engagement is the first step toward supporting food system planning and policy development. This is because strengthening community food systems begins with an equitable and inclusive process to build capacity and trust. To achieve meaningful change, we all must reexamine our assumptions, beliefs, customs and institutional practices to foster respectful dialogue, build stronger relationships, increase accountability, and develop understanding between all community members. This empowering process creates an environment where communities can develop and enact policy changes using their own resources.
