Sen. Howie Morales will present the Mimbres Region Arts Council with an Official Proclamation of the New Mexico State Legislature celebrating October 2015 as National Arts and Humanities Month. The event will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015, at 10 am in front of the Ft. Bayard Mural, HUB Plaza, Bullard Street, Silver City, New Mexico. The public is invited to attend.
National Arts & Humanities Month (NAHM) is a coast-to-coast collective recognition of the importance of culture in America. Since 1985, the month of October has been designated to encourage all Americans to explore new facets of the arts and humanities in their lives, and to begin a lifelong habit of active participation in the arts.
