The Silver City Quarterly Review. What is it? A free literary review magazine to spotlight local writers and artists. Why? Because Silver City’s got writers. Make that writers and artists and generally a lot of creative people. When? The online literary review is published four times a year (Jan, Apr, July, Oct) Who? It is brought to you by volunteer authors who believe everyone can help each other publicize their work and find a broader audience – reminding folks in our community of the width and breadth of talented local authors.
Published works are presented through reviews and excerpts, and additionally, authors may publish yet unpublished works of poetry, short fiction, or novel chapters.
To contribute, authors submit short original works of less than 2000 words. This may include fiction, non-fiction, poetry, a chapter from a novel or a review of another author’s published works. Authors retain full rights of any unpublished works.
Artwork submissions from local artists to accompany poems, short stories and reviews are welcomed. Artwork must be original and owned by the artist, and may include photography or a digital image of any media including painting, sculpture, ceramics or other three-dimensional pieces.
The Fall 2015 “Inaugural Issue” will be online starting September 30, 2015.
