Bruce Ashburn, Chamber of Commerce Board president, introduced the new Mimbres Region Arts Council executive director, Kevin Lenkner at the monthly Silver City-Grant County Chamber of Commerce luncheon meeting held Thursday, Sept. 3, at Western New Mexico University.
"No one can take Faye's (McCalmont) place," Lenkner said. "She laid a firm foundation that we can build on. Please tell me what you want in the arts. I am looking forward to raising my family here."
Lucy Whitmarsh, Silver City MainStreet Project executive director, was the featured speaker.
