Democrat Party Chairwoman Slams Her Own Party for Supporting Tax Package
Albuquerque, NM- Days ago, Governor Martinez signed into law a bipartisan package of tax incentives agreed upon by both parties during a special legislative session. This "Bipartisan Jobs Package" is designed to help small businesses, diversify New Mexico's economy and move our state forward. Despite the bipartisan success, many Democrats are now pointing fingers.
"Democrat party bosses spent an entire legislative session trying to block progress and now the State Democrat Party is upset over a true bipartisan agreement," said Pat Garrett, spokesman for the Republican Party of New Mexico.
In a recent one-sided statement, Democrat Party Chairwoman Deb Halaand attacked the "Bipartisan Jobs Package." Even though these proposals were agreed upon by both Democrats and Republicans, Halaand chose to attack its consensus and agreement.
"It is unfortunate that New Mexico's Democrats would criticize a bipartisan agreement that helps New Mexico." Garrett concluded.

In A Statement Attacking The Decisions Of Her Own Party, Deb Halaand Says The Bipartisan Jobs Package Will Not Create Jobs.
"These capital projects will create jobs and economic stimulus," she said. "We don't believe the tax package will create new jobs or help the small businesses that are the backbone of the state's economy.
We do believe the tax package favors out-of-state corporations at the expense of New Mexico taxpayers. As Democrats, we will continue to do what's necessary to move our state forward." ("NM Governor Signs Tax Incentives Into Law," Alamogordo Daily News, 6/16/15)
